Gaurav Mehta, M.D., earned his medical degree at Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India. He received further medical training at North Central Thames Foundation School in London. He worked for a year in the Department of Emergency Medicine, West Yorkshire, U.K., before coming to the U.S. to complete his residency in family medicine at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. As a clinical preceptor and mentor, Dr. Mehta taught third and fourth year medical students at Advocate Lutheran General Family Medicine. He also served on the steering committee for Patient-Centered Medical Home and the outpatient operations committee while he was a resident at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
